Aontú leader Peadar Tóibín says figures released to him by Tusla show 13 unaccompanied children have been missing from care or accommodation for at least six months.
He says the figures also show 127 reports of unaccompanied minors going missing have already been recorded this year – more than the total for all of 2025.
Deputy Tóibín says the numbers raise serious concerns about safeguarding vulnerable children in State care.
