Bohs come from behind to defeat 10-man Derry City

Derry City have been beaten 5-3 by Bohemians in a cracking SSE Airtricity League Premier Division clash at Dalymount Park this evening.

The Candystripes were ahead after 34 minutes when Michael Duffy finished brilliantly from the edge of the box.

Three Bohs goals in six minutes then turned the game on its head – Patrick Hickey equalised on 47, Connor Parsons put the home side ahead with a smart finish on 50 and it was 3-1 on 53 minutes when Douglas James-Taylor found the net.

Just two minutes later, a lunging tackle from Derry’s James Clarke saw him see a straight red card against his old club and Derry were down to 10.

Tyler Smith pulled one back just after the hour-mark but Bohs added a fourth and fifth through Ross Tierney.

Michael Duffy then got his second of the game from the penalty spot deep into injury time.

Other Premier Division results:

Drogheda United 0-2 St. Patrick’s Athletic

Dundalk 1-2 Galway United

Sligo Rovers 0-0 Waterford (still playing)
