Families living in social housing affected by defective concrete blocks should be moved out of the worst-affected homes as soon as possible, according to Cllr Tomas Sean Devine.
It’s expected that the Government will announce a scheme for affected social housing in the coming weeks.
Cllr Devine says plans need to be put in place now to ensure the most vulnerable families can be relocated quickly once the scheme is announced.
He says the cold winter months are fast approaching and families cannot be left living in such conditions:
