Electric and hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly popular among new car buyers in Donegal.
According to CSO data, the number of new electric vehicles licensed last month increased by 46% year-on-year, while licences for hybrid models jumped by 89%.
Petrol vehicles also saw an increase of 43%.
However, the number of new diesel vehicles licensed in September fell by 17% compared with the same month last year.
