Donegal County Councillor Brendan Byrne says there is no basis for concerns that car parking charges are to be introduced in Killybegs.
Cllr Byrne says the council has confirmed to him that there are no present or future plans to introduce car parking charges in the town.
He has welcomed the assurance as the matter was raised with him by a number of business owners in Killybegs.
He says it would be stupid for the council to even consider car parking charges:
