A motorbike racer who was involved in an accident at the North West 200 on Saturday has died.
England’s Simon Andrews passed away on Monday in a Belfast Hospital as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash which happened at the Metropole section of the North West circuit.
The 29-year-old from Worcestershire was riding for the Penz13.com BMW team.
The crash was the second serious accident at this year’s races.
His accident comes after Franck Petricola crashed during a practice session on Tuesday.
The Frenchman is also being treated at the Royal, where his condition is described as critical.
