A business representative group is calling on newly elected councillor’s to reduce commercial rates for businesses across the country.
Retail Ireland wants councils to look at offering ‘temporary rate’s holidays’ to entice people to occupy vacant units.
The IBEC group, that represents the retail sector, says the industry is vital to the success of local economies.
