Police appeal information following assult on woman in Derry

Detectives in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a woman.
Detective Inspector David McQuade said: “At about 3am on Saturday 11th October, the woman was walking from the garage on Abercorn Road down Maureen Avenue and was accosted by an unknown male who tried to drag her into a dark medium-sized car. When she resisted, a second male assaulted her by punching her in the face.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or a car of the kind described in the area at the time.”
