The Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Centre has finally opened to the public, offering information and the services of a trained and qualified cancer nurse.
The centre is located at Letterkenny Shopping Centre, close to the Penney’s premises there. It’s the first time such a centre has been located in a commercial area, an innovative move which was forced on the society after the flooding at Letterkenny General Hospital scuppered plans to locate the centre there.
The centre was part funded by Donegal Relay for Life, its Chairperson Robert O ‘Connor is urging anyone with questions or concerns about cancer to visit the centre………….
