New figures show Donegal people are above the national average when it comes to glass recycling.
In the first eight months of 2015, 57 glass bottles and jars were recycled per head of population in County Donegal. This figure is above the national average of 55 bottles and jars per person.
The busiest recycling site in the county was the Dunnes Stores in Letterkenny with 113 tonnes deposited in the bottle banks provided.
David Farrelly, Rehab Glassco Operations Manager said however that more people are putting non-glass items in the bottle banks:
