The Donegal Road Safety Working Group will meet shortly to discuss a new plan after it’s first three year plan reached its end at the end of last month.
During the three years, the number of road deaths gradually fell from 22 in 2007, to 18 in 2008, and 15 in 2009.
The group’s Chairperson is Donegal County Council’s Road Safety Officer Eamon Browne – He’s encouraged by the figures, but says more needs to be done.
