Government urged to name date for Donegal SW By-Election

Pressure is mounting on the Government to set a date for the by-election in Donegal South West.
The area’s Dail representation has been reduced from three to two since Pat the Cope Gallagher was elected to the European Parliment last year.
Now the government is being urged to set a date for the by-election sooner rather than later.
Sinn Fein Senator Pearse Doherty, one of those who will contest the election, says there is a moral responsibility for them to do so.
