Letterkenny to promote its connectivity and IT infrastructure

Letterkenny Town Council is to liaise with the County Development Board to ensure that the town’s IT infrastructure is highlighted to prospective investors.
The issue was raised this week by Deputy Mayor Cllr Jimmy Harte, who proposed that the council promotes Letterkenny as a centre for Information Technology in conjunction with the LYIT, the IDA and the existing software companies in the town.
However, following suggestions from the Couinty Manager that a solo run from the Town Council might dilute and distract from the efforts of the existing structures, Cllr Harte agreed that the CDB be approached.
