All 29 members of Donegal County Council agreed unamiously today to call on the government to scrap VRT.
The council where all in agreement that the tax was unfair and unjust, although there was some disagreement on what the alternatives were to the tax.
There has been an ongoing campaign against VRT in Donegal recently, and a number of coucillors where highly critical of Customs Officers in the county.
