The SDLP Health Spokesperson is calling for the publication of a report on cross border cooperation in health. Fermanagh South Tyrone MLA Tommy Gallagher says the report was compiled in 2007, but Health Minister Michael Mc Gimpsey refuses to publish it.
Much of the report, it’s understood, focusses on the North West cross border radiotherapy centre at Altnagelvin in Derry which is proceeding, but Tommy Gallagher says there are other sectors covered which would also be mutually beneficial.
He says it’s time to publish the document, and doesn’t accept the minister’s assertion that there is nothing of value in it………..
