Coughlan and O’Domhnaill set to be selected by FF in Donegal South West

The Fianna Fail Convention to select candidates to contest this springs general election in Donegal South West will be held tomorrow.
As of last evening, three people had formally allowed their names go forward to the selection convention which is being held in Glenties.
They are Tanaiste Mary Coughlan, Senator Brian O’Domhnaill and former Senator and Councilorl Enda Bonner.
It is expected, but not a complete formality, that Enda Bonner will withdraw his name at the convention allowing Minister Coughlan and Senator O’Domhnaill to be formally ratified by the party members.
Fianna Fail will be using a two candidate strategy for the election, which is expected to be held in March, with the realistic view of ensuring Mary Coughlan retains her seat.
