The Mayor of Donegal has confirmed that she will not be travelling to the United States for St Patricks Day.
Traditionally the Mayor of Donegal has travelled to America with a small delegation to take part in celebrations.
Mayor Cllr Cora Harvey said she had made her position very clear since she took up the position last November.
And she says the occasion should be used to promote tourism in Donegal:
