Soccer – Fanad Lose Out To Salthill In Cup

Fanad Utd bowed out of the EA Sports Cup on Monday night losing 2-0 to Salthill Devon at the Drom Soccer Pitch.  Salthill who dominated large parts of the first half took the lead on 17 minutes with a Trevor Collins goal.  Fanad will feel very unlucky as they pressed hard in the final ten minutes culminating in a great strike by Davitt Walsh, which was brilliantly saved by Salthill keeper Bernard Power. The home side scored their second goal in the 93rd minute with Daniel Rupa hammering home.  Salthill will now face Derry City in the next round.
