The Donegal County Board may look to Croke Park for a loan after it was confirmed this week that almost half a million euro is needed to finance the affairs of the county this year. To cover the projected expendure for the rest of 2011, County Treasurer Seamus O’Donnell said €480, 750 would be required. He also shed light on the new Centre of Excellence in Convoy, where €486,400 is needed by the end of May to pay the developer. The county has a projected income for this year of around €680,000 with costs set to rise beyond the €1.1m. Its been suggested that Donegal officials may meet with representatives from Croke Park before the annual GAA Congress to seek a loan to cover the centre’s development cost.
