The Donegal haulier who has vowed to bring the country to a standstill if fuel tax is not reduced has claimed that protests will go ahead if there is no response from the Government by Friday.
Following a meeting of the Irish Road Haulage Association at the weekend, John McLaughlin of Convoy based JML transport, said he had the full support of the association to proceed with mass demonstrations.
Mr McLaughlin said that during the weekend conference, Transport Minister Leo Varadkar, told the hauliers he wouldn’t be able to meet them until May.
