Reports of Donegal fires reigniting

Fire officers say they are now making good progress in their battle to control a series of fires on scrubland in the north-west of the country.
Fires have been raging in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim.
The Fire Service says blazes  in Dungloe, Ardara and Glenties have been substantially brought under control, however, concern remains over a fire on the Falcarragh side of Muckish Mountain.
However, we’ve been receiving reports of fires reigniting in Ardara, Dungloe and Fanad. Local people have been fighting a new fire at Narin in South West Donegal, which they say has been threatening houses on the Ballykilduff Road, with concern also being expressed at the nearby Ardara bridge.
In Fanad, a fire is reigniting in the vicinity of Ballynacrick Hill, firefighters and gardai are at the scene. Meanwhile, another fire is being tackled outside Dungloe. The blaze started at around 2 o’clock on the Lettermacaward side of Dungloe town in an area near where one of the worst of the weekend’s gorse fires raged for three days.
