Gardai and An Post have launched investigations into alleged “irregularities” at Laghey Post Office.
However, this has not been confirmed by An Post but Gardai in Ballyshannon have confirmed that they have received a complaint and an investigation is underway.
The Post Office in the South Donegal village closed on July 6.
It’s understood that a customer from Ballyshannon lodged a complaint with Gardai after money from their savings account went missing.
A note posted in the window of the premises says it’s closed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
