The Chairman of the Joint Policing Committee in Letterkenny says an in depth analysis has begun into local crime figures so that the committee and the community can formulate an informed response.
Cllr Dessie Larkin was speaking after the committee was presented with figures this week showing that in the Letterkenny district, there’s been an increase in assaults and burglaries, with burglary detections down to just under 20%.
Cllr Larkin says the figures are worrying, but rather than knee jerk reactions, it’s important to ensure that the figures are analysed………
