Mc Hugh seeks to raise awareness of Credit Review Office following ISME survey

Donegal North East Deputy Joe Mc Hugh has renewed his campaign to increase awareness of the Credit Review Office.
It comes after ISME issued a report today saying more than half of Irish small and medium businesses have been denied a bank loan in the past three months, and called on the Government to ensure that the  banks start lending to SMEs again.
Last year, the then government initiated the Credit Review Office, to assess and adjudicate on cases where businesses or individuals felt their applications were unfairly treated.
Over 100 cases have been processed, but at the end of November, it emerged that only two applications had come from Donegal. The office has found in favour of 55% of applications.
Deputy Joe Mc Hugh says there clearly needs to be more awareness of this service……..
