Tyrone had to come from behind to beat Queen’s University by 1-13 to 1-5 in the Dr.McKenna Cup at Healy Park in Omagh on Sunday. Debutants Johnny Lafferty and Ronan O’Neill made big impacts for Mickey Harte’s new look team. Urney’s Lafferty marked his debut with a number of well taken scores while O’Neill netted Tyrone’s goal in the 52nd minute.
Tyrone Manager Mickey Harte said it was the student’s goal which sparked his side into action.
Harte praised players Peter Harte, Johnny Lafferty and the goal scorer Ronan O’Neill.
