A Strabane Councillor says a realistic government strategy is needed to tackle child poverty and reduce deprivation among children in the town and its environs.
Figures published this week by the End Child Poverty show the Strabane council area has one of the highest poverty rates in the North, at 31%, with only Derry and West Belfast returning higher percentages.
Cllr Patsy Kelly says this means that almost one third of children in Strabane are living below the breadline, and that highlights the need for action……….
