Boxing – McLaughlin Wins Again In World Series

Inishowen’s Willie McLaughlin notched his second win of the season in the World Series of Boxing in Milan last night to help Milano Thunder to a shut out 5-0 victory over Mumbai Fighters.McLaughlin earned an impressive (48-46,49-45,48-46) unanimous decision over India’s Jangra Mandeep in the WSB middleweight class. The win for McLaughlin – who boxes out of the Illies GG helped consolidate Thunder’s positions at the top of the Group A table, eight points clear of Dynamo Moscow. Jason Quigley’s LA Matadors are lying in 4th spot in Group A, nine points behind Thunder.The top four teams in the two groups qualify for the play-offs. Both Willie Mc Laughlin and Jason Quigley will be in National Seniors action next weekend.
