It’s one of the busiest and noisiest weekends of the year in Donegal, with thousands of people here for the Donegal International Rally which gets underway later this morning and finishes on Sunday evening.
At this morning’s drivers briefing, the traditional welcome is being delivered by the Mayor of Donegal, a man several of the participants know quite well.
Since 1986, Cllr Noel Mc Bride has participated in many Donegal rallies, both as a driver and a navigator, taking several class wins along the way.
Cllr Mc Bride is not ruling out getting back into a car at some point, but says for this year, he’ll be limiting himself to welcoming all involved to Donegal, and wishing everyone a safe weekend……….
