There is uproar in Manorcunningham this afternoon after it emerged that a blind, elderly man living alone in the area was targeted by robbers over night.
While details are sketchy, the man was physically un-harmed but is said to have been distressed by the ordeal.
A chip shop in the same area was also robbed while a car was also stolen.
