Soccer – Trapattoni Names Republic Squad In Ballybofey

Giovanni Trapattoni says he wants to give some young players a chance in next month’s friendly away to Serbia.
Trap announced his squad this afternoon in Jacksons Hotel Ballybofey as part of the FAI Festival of Football in Donegal this week.
As earlier suggested in press reports this week, The Italian has decided on leaving Shay Given, Richard Dunne, Damien Duff and Robbie Keane out of his squad.
Killybegs Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy return to the squad while Marc Wilson is also included.
Andy Keogh and Keith Treacy have also been selected but Keith Fahy is injured and misses out.
The Festival of Football in the county comes to an end on Saturday with the FAI Agm taking place at the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny.
