Donegal Clubs take honours at Gaeltacht Finals

It was a fantastic Bank Holiday weekend for Donegal sides in Waterford at the Comortas Peile na Gaeltacht finals.
The defending senior champions Gweedore  successfully retained their title beating the host An Rinn in Monday’s decider 1-16 to 0-7.
Kevin Cassidy put in a man of the match performance in helping his side to another Gaeltacht crown.
Fanad Gaels won the junior title, coming from 8 points down against The Aran Islands in the first half to win after extra time.
The Gaels scored 2-2 in the final six minutes to force added time and after that there was only going to be one winner with Fanad taking it 3-10 to 1-9.
There was also double joy for Donegal clubs in the ladies finals on Sunday.
Termon beat  Killcommon  5-12 to 4-8 to take their fourth title  in a row and Gweedore won the junior section beating Naomh Aban 2-13 to 3-9 after extra time.
