Council changes telephone number as new Milford call centre becomes operational

Donegal County Council is changing it’s main telephone number to 074 91 53900.
Late last year, a new Customer Contact Centre was opened in the Milford Public Service Centre, and since then, the council has been gradually diverting calls to the new facility.
From this month, all calls to the council’s Lifford headquarters and other public services centres are being routed through Milford, with other numbers now being phased out.
County Manager Seamus Neely says up to now, the Milford Contact Centre has been receiving almost 4,000 calls per month and staff have been in a position to deal in full with 50% of these queries at the initial point of contact.
He says the Council is committed to continuing this trend by providing new Information Systems that will allow staff in the Contact Centre to deal fully with as many customer queries as possible.”.
The Customer Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday 9am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 4.30pm and the normal out of hour numbers will continue to be in operation.
