Buncrana’s Mayor has appealed to beachgoers to take their rubbish home.
Councill Peter McLaughlin also wants stricter enforcement of littering laws after broken bottles and other rubbish was left strewn over beaches in Lisfannon and Buncrana.
Mayor McLaughlin says the mess that is left is an eyesore and makes the beaches unsafe for users:
