Drowning victims in Donegal and Tyrone named

The man who tragically drowned on Saturday afternoon near Ardara, has been named as 24 year old Conor Cunningham from Donegal Town.
The father of two who was originally from Clonmel in Tipperary, but has been living in Donegal for two decades, got into difficulty while swimming at Maghera Beach at around one o’clock.
Emergency services were called to the scene and he was air-lifted to Lettereknny General Hospital where he died a short time later.
Meanwhile the man who drowned on Saturday evening in Newtownstewart has been named as James Kincaid from the town.
The 34-year-old got into difficulty while swimming in the river Strule, shortly after five o’clock yesterday evening. A second man who was also in the water at the time was rescued by emergency services and treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
