All-Ireland champions Donegal out fought and out played in Clones

Monaghan have completed one of the upsets of the summer so far, with a hard fought win over Donegal by a score of 0-12 to 0-7.
The packed Clones crowd witnessed the underdogs hold the reigning Ulster and All-Ireland champions scoreless for 32 minutes of the first half, and without any sort of answer to their
Monaghan showed some excellent kicking from long range to punish Donegal mistakes, hitting seven points in the second as Donegal pushed forward in search of the scores to bring them level.
Monaghan led from the front and raced into a 4 point lead within the opening ten minutes, but the tight nature of the game meant the half finished with Monaghan leading by 5 points to 2.
