Pasisley Police confirm body found this week was that of Barry Doherty

Police in Scotland have confirmed that a body found in Paisley on Wednesday was that of 25 year old Barry Doherty, a native of Carndonagh who hadn’t been seen for over a week.
Mr Doherty had been reported missing after he was last seen at his home on Monday July 15th.
Meanwhile, 44 year old Lisa McGowan will be laid to rest today in Strabane following a short service in the family home in Drumquin.
The body of the 44 year-old who had been missing for almost two weeks was released to her family on Tuesday.
Lisa McGowans remains were found near Drumquin earlier this week after an extensive search of the area by police and around 200 volunteers.
There were no apparent injuries and no cause of death has been given to date.
The PSNI expect to know more when test results come back in around six weeks, but they are NOT treating the cause of death as suspicious.
Ms McGowan was a former pupil of Strabane Grammar School. She was well known in Omagh where she worked as a bus driver for the Western Education and Library Board.
Her husband said she was a quiet but humorous soul who brought happiness to everyone she met.
The funeral service will be held at 1pm in Christ Church, Strabane this afternoon.
Her family has asked that donations are made to Community Rescue in lieu of flowers via the organisation’s website at www.communityrescue.org
