The Department of Social Development in the North has allocated more than £2m to Strabane’s pedestrian bridge project.
The bridge over the River Mourne will link the Head of the Town with the Ballycolman, with an expected completion date of early in 2015.
The project was said to be in tatters in November 2011 after Strabane Council failed to appoint a contractor.
But local Cllr Brian McMahon says it is now back on track:
