Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has played down the significance of the announcement by the Government that we are to exit the Bailout without a precautionary line of credit.
It was announced yesterday evening that Ireland will not be asking for a second bailout.
But Deputy Doherty, who is Sinn Feins Finance spokesman, says this is nothing but spin from the Government the government was never expected to seek a second loan in the first place.
And he says, most importantly, the announcement changes nothing for the Irish people:
