Letterkenny General recording increase in patients with vomiting bug symptoms

HospitalLetterkenny Hospital says it is experiencing an increase in the number of patients with diarrhoeaand vomiting.
The hospital says that as it is usual for norovirus or winter vomiting bug to circulate in the community at this time of year, visitors to Letterkenny Hospital are being asked to follow advice issued by the hospital.
People who are unwell or have vomiting or diarrhoea, or have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the last two days, should not visit the hospital.
People who have family members who have been unwell or have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the last two days, should not visit the hospital;
Visitors should wash their hands thoroughly before entering or leaving the inpatient area, or after a visit to the toilet;
Children should not be brought to the hospital to visit unless absolutely necessary; and Visiting Hours are strictly from 2.30pm to 4pm and from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
