There has been a sharp increase in the number of dogs being stolen in the county over the past number of months according to Donegal Pet Rescue.
The latest incident came when a German shepard was stolen in St Johnston last week, only to be reunited with its owner following a social media campaign. This followed a simlar case in Burt where an American Akita dog was stolen.
