Deignan fractures collarbone

Letterkenny’s Philip Deignan has been forced to withdraw from this weeks Ruta del Sol in Spain after suffering a fractured collarbone.
The accident occurred while the Team Sky rider was preparing for the  race near his base in Monaco.
Its the second such injury for Deignan in the last five months after he was forced out of the Tour of Britian towards the end of last season.
Philip who has returned to Ireland  is expected to make a quick recovery but some reports today are suggesting his place on Sky’s Giro D’talia team is now in doubt.
