Seamus Coleman, David Forde and Robbie Keane have been nominated for the international player of the year award ahead of next month’s FAI International Football Awards.
Coleman in particular has been in fantastic form for his club Everton while he also captained the Republic against Germany last year.
Ciaran Clark, James McCarthy and James McClean are the contenders for the Young Player of the Year honour.
Keane is also in the running for the goal of the year, the first goal of his hat-trick against the Faroe Islands has been short-listed along with Wes Hoolahan’s goal against Poland and Shane Long’s header against England in Wembley.
Shane Duffy is nominated in the u21 category while Cockhill Celtics Malachy McDermott is among the Intermediate player of the year contenders.
The awards will be held on Sunday night week the 2nd March
