Man with strong Donegal links to be next GAA president

Aogán Ó’Fearghail, who has strong Donegal connections, has been voted in as the next president of the GAA.
He will be the first Cavan man to assume high office with the association and will succeed Liam O’Neill for the position following the conclusion of the 2015 All-Ireland club Championships.
Mr Ó’Fearghail runs an annual Irish language school in Gortahork and is well know throughout the area.
In the vote, he received 170 of the 311 votes cast at congress defeating Wexford Sheamus Howlin and Kerry’s Sean Walsh.
