Gallagher wins bronze in Russia

Donegal boxer Michael Gallagher won a bronze medal over the weekend in Russia at the Multi Nation Tournament on Anapa.
The 17 year old lost to a Russian in the semi final’s on Saturday night.
Gallagher booked his place in the medals with a unanimous win over a Latvian and a majority decision victory in the quarter finals against another Russian fighter.
The Finn Valley man’s medal was one of two won by the Ireland team.
The Irish heavyweight champion will fight at the World Youth Championships in Bulgaria in April.
