A Donegal Senator is accusing the Education Minister of purposely delaying the publication of a report into the future of small schools to avoid a local election backlash.
Senator Brian O’Domhnaill says the minister has had a report examining the future of small schools for nearly a year but is sitting on it to avoid a political fallout.
He believes the report proposes the amalgamation of smaller schools and that the minister doesn’t want that information out before the elections:
