Fixtures in Division 1 of the All-County Football League planned for this coming Good Friday have been called off.
The decision by the clubs followed a request heard at Monday night’s CCC meeting where the Donegal senior football team management asked for the postponement of the fixtures or for a round of ‘star’ fixtures to be included which would see clubs play without their county men.
Having weight up the options the clubs last night scrapped the games for this Friday but the games scheduled for Sunday will go ahead as planned.
The Division 2 game between Killybegs and Dungloe and the Division 3 meeting of Naomh Brid and Red Hughs are also off on Good Friday but the Glenfin MacCumhails Division 2 derby will be played.
The Donegal senior squad are due to fly back from their Algarve training camp tomorrow.
