A Letterkenny area Local Election Candidate says it’s unacceptable that just weeks before the Town Council is abolished, staff have no clarity about their future.
Peter Cutliffe, who is contesting the poll on an Independent ticket, says he’s been approached by a number of staff members who are concerned about what may be around the corner.
He says while there may be an assumption that they will transfer straight to the county council and in most cases stay in the same building, there is a provision in the Haddington Road agreement for staff to be relocated up to 45 kilometres, and there is reral concern in Letterkenny as a result………….
