Letterkenny solicitor Dessie Shiels has announced that he’s to run in the local elections.
He’ll run as an independent candidate in the Letterkenny electoral area.
He received over 2000 votes in the elections for Dail Eireann in February 2011.
Speaking to Highland Radio News as he handed in his nominations at the County House in Lifford, he said he made the decision to run some time ago:
