Neil Gallagher is Jim Mc Guinness’ main concern ahead of the Ulster Championship opener against Derry in just under two weeks time.
The Donegal manager has confirmed that the Glenswilly man went over on his ankle in training on Friday night and is now in a race against time to be ready for the Sunday 25th May clash.
If Gallagher is not available it will be another big blow for Donegal, with Rory Kavanagh already missing out following his sending off in the league final.
Patrick Mc Brearty also missed last Friday’s session and Kilcar’s league game on Sunday due to a knock to the ankle but the forward is expected back to training this week.
Jim Mc Guinness is under no illusion of what Derry will be to the table at Celtic Park.
