1.1 million euro for Dungloe housing project for those with an Intellectual Disability

Jan O'Sullivan1.1 million euro has been allocated by Government for the construction of a housing project in west Donegal for people with an Intellectual Disability.
The grant to ‘Co. Donegal Parents & Friends of the Mentally Handicapped’ will see the construction of the premises on the Gweedore Road, Dungloe
It’s part of capital investment totaling over €46m for a range of housing projects across the country which will provide a total of 416 units of accommodation for people with special housing needs.
Confirming the announcement, Minister for Housing and Planning, Ms. Jan O’Sullivan said, “The Government is fully committed to addressing the crisis of homelessness and I am pleased to announce a programme of works that will form part of the response to dealing with this growing problem. Approved housing bodies play a key role in the delivery of housing and related supports for homeless persons and other vulnerable groups such as older people and people with disabilities”
